Alright, I need y'alls help. As you're probably well aware, I am The Worst at titles. (Thus, Project Death, Project Blue, Project Purple, Project Blue 2, I could go on...)
So I've decided to undertake a titling experiment, of sorts. I drove over to my local Barnes & Noble and looked around at all the book covers and titles for three genres: fantasy, contemporary, and mystery/thriller. I took notes and came back home, set a timer for 5 minutes, and tried to come up with as many potential titles as I could.
Not all of these are good. (Most are bad.) But I did stumble across some gems (or some that fit the genre expectations, at least) for both fantasy and contemporary novels.
And now I need your help!
In the poll option below, please vote for your FAVORITE (or two) of these titles, with the genre being a mystery/thriller/suspense book.
If you hate all of them, feel free to let me know that too bahaha.
Also I would LOVE if you could let me know how you go about titling your projects. We chatted a bit about it during the Double Stream Day this past weekend, but if you could also let me know when you come up with your titles, I'd be super curious to know!
My plan is to create a brief longline & concept for the favorite title (in each of the genres).
Thanks y'all and happy writing!! :)
