So with the release of the first page of Backseat Bargain, I feel now is a good time to fill you in on a couple minor things.
>I don't think I really mentioned this when I launched my Patreon, but for the longest time I've wanted to get into making comics (SFW & NSFW), and Patreon naturally seemed like the best way to make it financially viable (making comics of any caliber takes a lot of time, as I've come to find out), since I need to keep the lights on and the water running. Well now we're entering the era of me creating more than just one-off pinups and assorted sketch pages. Thank you all for supporting me this far, cuz shit's about to pop off for real now.
>People (viewers and artists alike) naturally care more about characters they know and whose stories they understand as opposed to those only with a neat or sexy design. Previously I could only tap into this by using established characters, but let's be honest, many artists in my sector fear the day the House of Mouse decides to crack down on those making money off of bunny cop content. The long term viability of this strategy was always in question, and since my dog does little to help pay the bills I alone need to keep my options wide open.
>In essence, this reality demands that I create and use my own damn characters when creating content. Therefore, expect me to actually put all my years of studying character design to use in future projects (Zootopia and other IP content will continue however, until the Patreon overlords themselves demand I stop).
>Backseat Bargain is a 25-ish page test comic, to see if I can handle sticking through writing and illustrating even a small comic. I will say that 98% of the pages have already been sketched, so we're in good shape.
