The extra time monitoring the police dispatch doesn't elucidate much.  In fact, you only listen a few more minutes before the responding officer's juvenile comments and titters have you twisting the scanner's dial in disgust.

The one thing it does confirm is that the deceased, Jada Jenson, the twenty-eight-year-old social service worker who you had once considered for your harem, was nearly two-hundred pounds heavier than when you last saw her.  Considering you saw her a few weeks ago and, at that time, the "bedbound blimp" (as the onsite officer referred to her) was relaxing in a public park, the development was significant in more ways than one.

With no sign of struggle or foul play, the clueless cop had assumed Jada offed herself, but you know better.  And you suspect savvier members of the force do too.

After adjusting your scanner to a new frequency, your suspicions are confirmed.

"Didn't Morgan once say something about silver bracelets?"  Captain Tucker's deep voice, well-seasoned with experience and cigarettes, was unmistakable.  He was no doubt referring to the bangle that had been discovered on Jada's otherwise naked corpse.

Tucker's gruff bark is answered by the comparatively high-pitched pipes of Officer Petty, Morgan's former partner, "She thought it was a tracking device our rich chubby-chaser used."

Despite the concerning developments, you manage a smile.  Morgan would know, you think.  She's wearing one.

"Did that Tina chick have one?"

"No."

"What about that other girl?  The librarian?"

"Bernadette Muncy."

"Right."

"I don't remember."

"Do we still have surveillance footage on file?"

"That was months ago.  I doubt it."

"Check."

"Will do, chief."

With that, the bug you slipped under the captain's desk when you visited the precinct goes silent.

It seems you're back on the police department's radar thanks to a copy-fat killer. While there's little question in your mind as to who it is, all the evidence points to you.  It won't be long until another squad car pays a visit to your harem on the hill.

What's your move?
