Following Tina up the long staircase from the cellar is a mistake.  Already exhausted from Anastasia's transport, she pauses every few steps to catch her breath.  It seems she's feeling every one of her 300+ pounds.

You decide to feel a few for yourself.

"Hey!"  Tina reacts to the push of your palms against her meaty mudflaps.

"Thought you could use a push."

"Thanks," she says, ascending quicker with the weight lifted off her boulders.  "I think this stairwell is getting steeper."

"It's definitely getting narrower."

Tina shoots you a dirty look.  Your comment came off as smartass, but the girth of your girls is a genuine concern.  Maybe not in Tina's case--yet--but if Officer Morgan or Anastasia ever needed to be moved upstairs they'd probably have to be airlifted out through the courtyard.

Stepping into the vibrant natural light of your living room, you shield your eyes.  "What's up?"

"I got a call from Officer Petty," Tina huffs.   "Remember him?"

"Morgan's partner?  Did he ask for me?"

"No, he wanted to talk to me.  Probably figured you were out jet-setting."

"I did have that six-month sojourn in the basement."

"Anyway," Tina says, ignoring your snarky comment.  "He wants me to stop by the station for a chat."

"Should I be jealous?"

"You're surprisingly glib for someone with a half-dozen kidnapped girls in their basement."

"It keeps me from being irritated that you pulled me away from spy games with Thunderbutt."

"She's not going anywhere."

"Neither are you.  Ignore him.  He's fishing."

"I think I should go."

"Why the hell would you do that?"

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.  If they've got evidence against you, they might tell me.  Ask me to cut a plea deal in exchange for information."

"You've watched too many detective shows."

"What can I say?  I have more spare time than I used to."

Your inclination is to ignore Petty's request.  Friendly chats with the police often lead to extended stays.  Still, Tina is clever and could gain some valuable intel if you trust her to do and say the right things.

What do you do?

I have a feeling Tina will do and say exactly the right things. If there is one thing she has been, it is LOYAL.

Was there really any doubt about letting Tina go to the police? Law enforcement gets really pissed off if you don't give them what they want.
