So my friend sent me this painting, which I then found out was painted by Frank Uppwall. And I thought I'd paint something inspired/referenced by it... I really love pulp art, and I keep wanting to redraw a bunch of them coz they're gorgeous to me LOL

I was initially just gonna do something simple and quick, but I got carried away....
