[COMIC]🍊Miho's origin story PART 1+ CONCEPT ART (Patreon)

WHEW... I finally finished this comic. This one took a longer time to make, mostly because of the planning stage. You see... I've been working hard on getting the story outline down for when I begin the true webcomic... the big one,,, and while doing so... this comic had to take me a little longer to finish scripting and thumbnailing. I've had to figure out a lot of stuff about Yuuma and his connection to Miho's dad. Maybe it'll be revealed a little more later...

But for now, I wanted to introduce how he basically met Miho and took her in. I'm a sucker for grumpy man adopting girl against his wishes LMAO So... I really love working on stuff with them. Yuuma accepts Miho as her daughter after a few years... funny how things turn out for him. He didn't even want kids, which-- as you can see... is why he breaks up with Cynthia. She deserves better anyways 🤭

But yeah, Miho has a complicated... sometimes strained relationship with Yuuma. She established that familial attachment much quicker than Yuuma did, so she's always trying to please him and impress him. Yuuma isn't one to show sincere emotions so easily, however. It also doesn't help that Miho is the only woman in the clan so far. It's tough out here... someone hug her already. Homegirl is going through it 24/7 😿

About the concept art:

So this time I wanted to show you guys some insight into my process!!

1st pic: Yuuma carrying a young Miho! I imagine this is when she's a little older... maybe 12-13 years old. Yuuma kept on promising to take her hunting... in reality, it took a few more years LOL

2nd pic: Ever since the comic with Miho and Jifeng, I want to draw little sketches of the outfit they are wearing-- if it's not a typical outfit.

This time I drew little Miho's outfit at the beginning, to make it easier on me later when I drew her in different panels and angles.

3rd and 4th pic: So I didn't only plan out Miho's outfit, but how the clan's place looks like! This is where all the current clan members come home to.

I actually sketched out the place first, before I dove into the Sims to work out the actual floorplan LOL My amazing and skilled friend helped me out with the sketch process and brainstorming, not only for the floor plan, but with comic work planning in general!! He's been incredibly helpful, and I'm so grateful and humbled to have an amazing artist help me out when I find myself in a rut. 5th pic: Another reference I made for me! :^) This is Yuuma in the present time of the comic. I imagine he's in his mid 50's here. I actually really love sketching old men....

I want to thank you all for being so patient with me and still being here ;___; I was working my ASSS off to finish this and work on your requests(which are coming very soon!!! So look out!).

I get emotional a lot, seeing people become invested in my characters and work.
