Aiko won the poll this month!! That was super exciting, since I really love her but I seriously thought no one even knew about her 😭 I can't really blame yall though since I don't show much of my other characters... It's usually because I'm preoccupied with other more popular and requested characters, but thank you for giving me a chance to introduce Aiko to you guys~ 

This comic is about the painful feeling of paying bills... but luckily she has Maria, who's her best friend and roommate. She's super motherly and loves caring for Aiko, so she will probably always be okay if she's around LOL

I also drew 2 pieces of Aiko in color. The first is a screencap redraw of this iconic scene from Jennifer's Body:

When I watched the movie for the first time, it gave me such Aiko vibes... Originally, she was actually meant to be a succubus 😈 but I scrapped the idea, as I wanted her to be a part of my human characters' world 🥺

But anyways, if this doesn't satisfy you, here's some more info about her!

A few words to describe Aiko would be... Confident, Over-protective, Bratty, Shameless, Bold, Go-getter, Rebellious, Jealous at times

She works in Maple Park's local smoke shop, where she's either working shifts alone or with the assistant manager, Cleo. Which I ended up drawing out in color and a doodle with her and Aiko. They met through the job and ended up having a lot in common. 

She lives with Maria, who has been best friends with her since childhood. Maria has ended up teaching Aiko a lot of survival skills, like cooking, cleaning, and how to be more independent, and has played a big role in her maturity now... however, Aiko is still VERY immature, but it's better now than before. She's less reckless now, and Maria is very proud of every step Aiko takes toward growing as a person. Maria is probably the only person Aiko is comfortable living with and just being around for a long period of time. Maria feels the same way, and they are basically inseparable.

Her family life is not the best. She grew up with very absent parents. She has a big brother, Fumihiko, who is the golden child of the family. He got most of their parent's attention and grew up having a very normal, happy childhood. At the time Fumihiko was growing up, their parents were working regular 9-5 jobs, but when Aiko was born, the company they started began to take off. This caused them to be out of town often and miss a couple of birthdays. Usually, it was Aiko's birthday that they missed. And when they did have a birthday for her, they would not be as big or extravagant as Fumihiko's. Birthdays were not the only thing they would miss. When Aiko would have achievements in school, they would not always show up or express interest. Over time, she grew to resent her brother, Fumihiko, and distance and tension grew between them. Shortly after she turned 16, Aiko decided she did not seek the approval of her parents anymore and began acting recklessly. She would hang out with anyone that expressed any interest in her, and she would always want to keep things lighthearted, never really showing vulnerability in front of anyone. After she finished school, she cut off ties with her family and began living on her own. Maria decided to join her, and they began living on their own ever since. Aiko considers Maria's family, as well as her closest friends, her family in present time.
