I've been working on three differing images this last week. This is one of them. A Pokebitch pic is the second. A picture of Cadence and Bel is another. All of them had experimental backgrounds (though I'm probably going to abandon the Cadence and Bel one). I don't know how to make scenery. I don't understand how people do it so comfortably and quickly. This pick and the Pokebitch pic are going to look very different. I think the Pokebitch one will be worse, but we'll see what you all think. This picture uses my normal style of drawing something, shading values, then adding colors with gradients. The Pokebitch one is more of a 'painting.'

Can't wait to see how HF reacts! I think you're beating yourself up too much about this, that forge looks great.

I also like the background, Mark, as far as quality goes. I'm not sure the fuzzy background was the right way to go though; normally fuzz is for things that are far away or out of focus. With how smooth the characters are it makes them look kind of like they were copy pasted into the picture. I still like it overall however, the dwarves are some fine ladies.

You're right. I mostly did the fuzzy thing because I thought it looked like crap and I was trying to cover it up.

And so after being captured, the strapping warrior was condemned to spend the rest of his days as a captive Human sextoy and breeding bull for a trio of sexually insatiable, ashen-skinned and amber-eyed Dark Dwarves. The agony of the constant debauched copulation must be unbearable; the number of Dark Dwarvish offspring that look just like their mommies, maybe just a bit taller and with vaguely more Human-like proportions, grows accordingly. Meanwhile, those adventurers who were not captured have to, you know, actually adventure. Work. Do things other than never-ending shadowy shortstack sexcapades.

The pic is awesome, your Dwarves are so cool, the only way to improve your background is drawing, so good luck on that

SorrowBorn

Good to see the dwarven lasses having a good time, by the way that background is AWESOME.

I like the way you do backgrounds and scenery, it is usually fairly minimal, but still has a smattering of detail and essential markers to set the scene for us, plus, I know you usually blur it because you are less than pleased with your skill in this area, but I think it actually works as a great design aesthetic, not only being unique to your art, but also as a way of highlighting that the sexcapdes happening front and center are the true focus of the piece, and the background is just scenery that is supplemental, but ultimately far less relevant than the main act

This is stunning!
