I've been using a crisp hard-line style, which is slow, but if I pot all the work into it, I get a very clean style. This is the messiest of styles. Just 'rendering' by moving black and white around, smoothing out objects and details as I 'discover' them. 

I've been re-watching old Bob Ross videos a bit. 

I like the personality I get out of the characters this way, but I SUCK at getting these to color. I'm probably going to render this in grey for as much as I want, experiment with getting it to color, and if that doesn't work, maybe it'll be fine as a grey. If any of that doesn't work, I'll go back to the crisp line-art of my other WIPs. Just thinking out-loud.
