I've never considered Merch before now, mostly because I'm the sort of person who NEVER buys that stuff. I have magic cards because I play magic. I have comics because I read comics. I don't have any other 'stuff.' If I got in on this sticker game though, would anyone buy them? It's not trouble for me, I think, since it looks like most companies can do print-on-demand, meaning I don't have to go into the hole, they just take whatever percentage that they take.

Have you guys any thoughts and advice? I'm kinda reluctant only because I think it'd be getting into a trend that I'm worried is parasitic and materialistic. I'd pay money to support an artist, but I don't buy stuff.

The stickers could all be SFW references to me, like my characters, but PG-13.

I will be honest if I bought stickers I will probably just buy once and not become a returning customer but if that doesn’t make you lose money then I guess you will be fine as for parasitic and materialistic then you don’t need to worry because people sometimes just like to have stuff and it is not bad for you to just sell them for a reasonable price

When it comes to merch i havent bought anything from anyone not even from Shadman and his posters. Stickers would be cool as a collectors or if you wanna be brave try keychains. Dont rush ahead and oveprint thinking theyll be sellinglike pancakes, examine, investigate and compare before you jump in and see what works and doesnt.

Exactly. I'd feel weird pushing something that I myself would not be interested in.

I'd say go for it if you decided to have a both at a convention or just to make some cash on the side. It would be cool to have Stickers of Kee-va. But again all up to your Mark Day. All up to you.

2 thoughts pop to mind: 1- off the bat, you've DEFINITELY done enough skateboards that people might want your stuff on board bottoms (deck Skins, whatever) it wouldn't be a big deal when people are already making stuff like this and selling them on amazon. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61bo4cJo6iL._AC_.jpg

2- Mark on a t-shirt would possibly sell well, especially if it has a good dynamic angle the Key is, can you do it with your exclusively owned and created characters? Isn't that just Mark, Cadence, Key, Kee-Va, Brule, Dizzy, and Rusty? Hell, Rusty in a "HELP! My mom's a BBC MILF" theme would probably sell to a certain crowd the same way "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them" merch did.

I have no problem with stickers but have you thought about T-shirts? They have an alternative use as clothing.

I can definitely see merch being a thing for you, but naturally it would depend on price and said merch it would be since not everyone may want a sticker. I maybe more inclined on a PG Mousepad, but that would probably be a one time purchase.

Geeko170

I would be in for merch.

Thanks. I still might do it, but I want to look into some reviews about what Patreon allows. Shipping pornographic material is different, I think.
