I've got mixed feelings about world-building just as a principal (I think it's a bad element of storytelling since any element other than narrative isn't necessary), but here is some world-building anyway. I basically imagine the planet of Thuinn to be a very comical and hyperbolic parody of Social Darwinism. Everyone is unapologetically shallow and carnal. The human characters are really just primitive monkey-people who understand the world entirely in terms of what can be eaten, and what can be fucked. The weak are mercilessly bullied and exploited, and the idea of being 'merciful' or 'nice' never ever occurs to anyone. Even the weak accept that fact that they are undesirable. Kee-Va, the 'hero,' is basically the biggest she-chad who has ever lived.

I mean I think you worry too much this level of world building more like setting the stage...I think even if you are doing a weekly tv show with no real arcs just the characters in different situations you still layout some basics to orient the audience. At the very least you establish character dynamics and core character traits of leads.

Looking awesome, spoecially center Kee-Va, also like other saids, you worry too much about being coherent, world-building is also part of narrative, and use it ion some of your pics is not a crime, even if you will change it in the future. DC do it all time.

Princess Bandara superior, furless cave-apes inferior

Barcod

I forget her name but damn I really like seeing your monkey girl, I've taken a sudden shine to them...I want one now

Mauzeyman

It's nice seeing you draw Kee-va's sexy ass again Mark, and that monkey girl too.

If lore was a bad story element, you wouldn't love Conan, silly. You're just boggled down by modern day writing practices with oppressive lore. Good lore is like icing on a cake. XD

Seriously Mark, if you wanted to make a source book for a roleplaying game, I would buy it in a heart beat. Your world building is amazing.

I actually think Conan works because the stories are so short and they never explain more than you need to know, but woven together they create a richer tapestry. I just hate learning magic-systems.

Thanks. That's cool to hear, but it'll probably never happen. I've never wanted to get into the 'merch' game, and I don't think my art looks good in print . . . Or at all, but you know.
