Sorry these mythology pieces are taking so long. I'm really pushing myself to make them as "professional" as possible, and that's why I'm trying to use actual art-stuff like vanishing points, and perspective, and HOLY SHIT I WANT TO KILL MYSELF! I do not understand vanishing points! AT ALL! I spent all of Friday, literally the whole fucking day, watching tutorials about understanding vanishing points and perspective grids, and even following along with them, and NOPE! I am not more comfortable with them now then I was in 2006, when I took my only ever art class, and I got a D because I couldn't incorporate vanishing points into my art. I don't see vanishing points. I've never been able to find one in a photograph or painting. Seeing where an artist puts one doesn't seem to correlate to the lines that they claim they do, and WHAT THE FUCK DOES THE HORIZON HAVE TO DO WITH IT? It doesn't make any sense. They say that all the lines go to the vanishing point, but no, no they don't. No they don't. Not unless you artificially force it to happen, which I could just as easily not force it. Not everything is made up of straight lines that are set up by some anal-retentive god to perfectly match up. That's not reality. That's not how I see the world. Everything bends. Nothing goes anyway.

I'm convinced that vanishing-points are some sort of Illuminati conspiracy just to fuck with me. Like the flat-earth or whatever.

Anyways, as for the myth, I don't really like Egyptian mythology, so I just went with the lowest hanging fruit, the myth of Hathor, Ra, and Babi.

Babi is the baboon-god. He's a weird one. Partly a god of sexual frivolity, but also a god of the dead, since the Egyptians believed that baboons were dead humans that came back to life somehow. (Stupid Egyptians). One day Babi was making fun of the sun-god Ra (for whatever reason), and Ra got so depressed that he stepped off his throne, and he laid down on the floor to mope. This caused the world to grow dark and cold, so his very sexy daughter, Hathor, the cow-goddess, sat on his chest and flaunted her pussy in his face until he was excited enough to get back up.

Yep.

Babi's pretty ballsy to mock the head god.
