I really stressed over this one in the early parts of its construction. I simple can NOT understand things like perspective, or angles, or even basic concepts that every artist should, so getting started was a nightmare for me. Once I finally decided to commit though, I think the rest went along easily enough. It's still a little muddier than I'd like, and I think my use of 'blurring' for the background is more of a cheap 'post' trick than an actual technique. I think most artists are able to get by without relying on filters.

I don't think the blurring is a cheap post trick, it's a valid technique and an excellent utilization of your skill set to achieve results - some artists don't use filters, some do - it is a stylistic artistic choice in terms of the type of medium and image that appeals to them, not an inherent critique on quality of image or skill of artist -

The pic come nice, and the guy must be proud of being able to fill it. In the background thing, i not think you should compare yourself to other artists, you are you and you work on your style. I mention it since as a commissioner I think is the first cause of artistic unhappines

Eh I like it.

Seriously, do you have access to my Dnd work notes? Cause you are making characters that will fit perfectly into my setting. This perfectly fits one of the “villains” I had in mind.
