Death Reversed Covers, Twitter page art, Comic Samples (Patreon)

Okay so! I wasn't fucking around when I said I was working on my webcomic. It's very real and it's very much happening, albeit at a snail's pace because I got hit with writer's block at the worst possible time.

Death Reversed is... well, I'm still working on the pitch. For now, let's say it's a supernatural, surrealist psychological horror with romantic and spiritual elements. The premise: Black Lumaban, a depressed, disillusioned 25-year old anarchist, gains the ability to enter people's minds through a kiss where he helps them confront their inner demons and help them reach a deeper understanding of themselves, and in turn, learn from their perspectives. Ultimately, it's a story about deeper intimacy in an age where capitalism and the digital age cause people to be alienated from one another. It's very vulnerable so writing it feels a bit like I'm plucking out my own organs and turning it into art. 

For the covers, and the story itself, I decided to go with tarot elements mostly because it gives this spiritual and introspective feel to the whole story. If you read about the fool's journey in the original Raider Waite deck, it's pretty much a quintessential hero's journey, but the end goal is veers more into spiritual enlightenment, which sums up Black's story incredibly well. The first pic is definitely so... out there so I doubt it'll attract casual readers, but it's the one that feels the most right, artistically.

I'm working on storyboarding Chapter 1 right now! Hopefully, I'll have something out in February or March.
