ShadowClan Forest Camp Concept [TB AU] (Patreon)

A concept for ShadowClan's camp in the TB AU, used for Dawn.

Long ago Shadowstar, ShadowClan's first leader, had to seek shelter to recover from an injury dealt to her by a fox. She slept within the strangely split pine tree (a younger tree, then) and received a vision of her Clan stalking the marshlands as if they were one with it. Ever since then, ShadowClan has called this place home.

ShadowClan is the only Clan to have their training grounds nestled so close to their camp - it creates a very combat-focused environment where even kits can stand by the shore of the stream to watch apprentices and warriors train. During Brokenstar's reign, the land was often speckled with blood.

The camp relies on its surroundings and very prickly outer walls to keep away predators and attackers - the marsh is a very taxing, confusing area to traverse, so much so that it's said only a ShadowClan cat can find their camp without help.

This camp is nowhere near as bright as RiverClan's, but I still enjoyed working on it. I'll get to the other camps (forest and lake) as I work on the relevant books.
