Devlog: October Report (2021) (Patreon)

Hello guys, It's been a while!

It's time for some good news, and the good news is that the next demo is just around the corner!

Long story short, the progress is going smoothly, and I'm confident that I will be able to finish everything I have planned before the end of the month. Thus, you can expect the new Patreon exclusive demo (v.0.16.0) to hit either 30th or 31th October, while the Public version will get updated shortly after (either 1st or 2nd November). And just a quick reminder, both of these updates are related to Rowley's story.

Development Progress:

If I had to share a few words about this month's development process I would say it was a real pain to get back to writing after such a long pause (September was a somewhat unplanned break for me). The first week of October was especially tough, because I couldn't get back into the right mindset (to feel characters and their motivations) and I had to make a lot of alterations in the dialogues. In the end, I managed to polish this first scene and I now, I love it - we get to know our characters a bit more, and then we have some fun interactions with Rowley. In a weird, sudden way, it all comes out nicely now, and I'm glad I was able to work it out.

I still have one more scene to write, but since this is the most important one, it will definitely take a while to pull it off. Luckily, I already have most of my ideas for dialogues well-planned, so it should be smooth sailing (fingers crossed!).

Two more things:

• I’m running out of free space on my OneDrive app again, so shortly before this new release I will be taking down the oldest builds (v.0.10.0 - v.0.13.0)
• Shortly after this update, I will finally post results of the survey. I'm sorry for the delay.
