Our local Lions' Club was having a charity thing at our local grocery store. We always stop to ask them if there's anything they always need but never really get, and always need, and get that.

That's often my problem with charities: they ask me to donate *something*, but leave it to me *what* to get. Pleace, charities, just give me a list of things you need :-D

In most cases, the most effective thing you can give a charity is money. They can get supplies and food at a bulk discount way cheaper than anything you can, so your money does more good.
