Updates on Caesar! We're working on getting the first album under printing process next year, but I've just finished the physical pages of the second album - I will continue it as a passion project, and perhaps publish it online, if the first album doesn't gain enough traction to be financially worthwhile.

I mainly work on it as practice to get the hang of how to draw comics traditionally, and at the end of every album I'll pick the page I'm least happy with and re-draw it with whatever new skill I've picked up while working on the album. With the foxes, I only got into a good routine of how to make the comics neat and consistent halfway through the third album, and I'm looking forward to what I'll be able to learn and figure out during the third album of A Friend of Caesar!

This time the page I re-drew worked much better with a more standard six-panel layout than the original five-panel. It also fit the dialogue much better - I frequently tweak the script as I go according to what works best - and altogether I'm very happy with the way the new re-draw of this particular page turned out.

I love how you drew the truly enraged Cornelia in both! The trees and shrubs also look great with the new perspective. :)

Cornelia is my favourite character in this whole thing. She's vain, entitled, loving and ruthless, sweet but flawed, and the narration of the original book occasionally pauses the narration to APOLOGISE to the reader that this girl who was born 50 BC is not a very christian, pure and sweet heroine.
