I'm one of those people who sneeze from bright sunlight, and for the longest time I thought that everyone does that. There were so many things in my childhood where schoolyard peers went out of their way to classify anything that I personally did as Weird And Gross And Inappropriate (did you know that drinking low-lactosis milk is disgusting and cringe?) that I assumed that they all went out of their way to lie about it - of course everyone sneezes from the sun, but now that I was the first one to bring it up, they would immediately reach the consensus that literally nobody does that or has ever heard of that.

One time I pointed this out to them, at the age of like 10 or so. I said "you would all agree that the sky isn't blue, just because I was the first one to say 'the sky is blue'." They all looked up and unformly agreed that the sky is not blue, because it was cloudy at the time, and the sky was obviously white at the moment. When I said "see? this is what I'm talking about", nobody saw, or understood what I was talking about.

So I carried on thinking that everyone sneezes in bright light, and that everyone just lies about it because they associated it with being associated with me.

I was also quite an outcast at school because my dad taught at the same school. Every time I did something well at school, classmates would convince me it was because the teacher wanted to please my dad so they scored me higher than what I deserved. I had believed it for a long time until I learned not to do exceptionally well at school but to excel somewhere else. You were obviously stronger and knew yourself better than me at that age. :)
