I'm actually in the process of weaving my third scrap rug - they're all made of old, broken bedsheets and clothes that couldn't be repaired. They're ugly and largely a tripping hazard more than anything, but it's an extremely cheap hobby and better than having the fabric rot in a landfill!

You should sell rugs, I would be interested!

I think they look very nice and you have to diversify your hobbies and whatever lets you dedistress should never be called ugly.

My mom also does this. Except an occasional shirt gone missing, I am quite fond of these rugs! We use them in banyas and bathrooms) Good luck to you!

I really like how, in Patreon, you relate your comic story to your life. Thank you! I like this formula!

Not ugly at all!!!! Totally looks great :)

I think they look lovely! Rag rugs usually look good as long as they're mostly flat and the colors match, which these do. I particularly like the smoky gradient around the edge of the gray one.

Oh those rugs look so good! I wish i knew this before doing alt text on twitter. I went with yarn but hope that doesn't affect the content too much. Were you following any tutorial for scrap rugs? I'd love to learn that myself. I usually donate my old clothes but there are always some so old and torn that you couldn't donate and feel too guilty to just throw away!

The book "you are an artist" has making a rag rug as one of the art assignments. The instructions are really good for how, but alsoextra how to think about them as art in a specific way. I'm making a blue and red one from old sheets right now and it's made it comparatively easy. YMMV of course.

Those rugs look great. We accept old textiles for reuse and recycling where I work but this is an even better use for them. You're pretty much upcycling them.
