In reality we didn’t have the time to get a pretty glass jar, we put the poor stunned bee into a thin plastic container with air holes punctured to the side. Once she woke up - almost as soon as we got her indoors and she got some sugar water - she started angrily buzzing about and kept it up all night. I was too scared to sleep so it kept me up far into the night.

She was happy to leave the next day, as soon as it was warm enough to let her go.

Awww, I also feed cold and hungry bees and bumblebees. And sometimes butterflies. I've had a "bumble-bar" at my balcony during summers, partly to encourage little cuties to remember to fly up there and pollinate my few veggies and flowers when they occasionally bloom, but also because they are just super adorable.

My fox partner was so happy when he read this, he immediately put it in front of my face - "I'm the foxes today!!" He's the smol bug saver in our family. :)
