Project Poll 7 (Patreon)

So back when I put the first hair poll (I think it was #4) I mentioned that eventually I'd like to do more in the future if that one came to pass. Well, it did and it's been some time since that one, so I think it may be time to try my hand again at a new style.

While the first one that I made was okay, it could really be a lot better, so this is once again a very experimental thing, for me to try out new stuff and improve. I'd definitely be looking at textures more this time, as those were the weakest part of my previous attempt.

For this poll, I've selected more styles instead of just the one that was put up previously, so there's a bit more choice available. I'm leaving it as a multi-choice poll so you can pick more than one option if there's more that you like. I'll only make the one with the highest votes of course, but as is with all polls, there's definitely a chance I'd revisit the other choice if I see enough interest in them.

Now, I haven't done extensive "research" or went on to gather references for any of these hairstyles, besides just getting the images that you see here, so that you KINDA have a rough ideea what you're voting for. While the general hairstyle itself won't change, details, length, etc. are all subject to change as I make them, so keep that in mind.

Anyway, poll options explained:

Hairstyle 1:

- A default, plain shoulder-length middle or slightly off center parted style.

- Very good looking, nice volume and has the potential to look really nice when done.

- Pretty straight-forward to make with no real surprises, which is the main reason it's on here. I can focus on just improving my skill set with hair making without having to worry about experimenting much with new features or details like the next 2 styles. Since it's kinda similar to the first one but simpler, I can sort of build on the experience of the first, so in a sense, it's the easiest hairstyle to make on this list.

Hairstyle 2:

- The Octavia hair from "The 100" show (never watched that btw :P). This was suggested on discord by coyote. I would've liked to put more patron suggestions in the poll, but this one is the only hair related one I got so far.

- This is a pretty cool badass warrior/viking style, pretty unique looking and fits very well with a variety of games in general, I like it quite a bit myself, probably my overall favourite from the 3, tied with #1 or a bit above it.

- Now, this is a bit of a wildcard. It could end up looking amazing, or it could end up looking very "meh". I've never done braids and the hair has multiple braid styles, so all of those are basically one giant trial-error/experiment. The whole thing is kinda complex, pretty long, so braids aside, it's going to take a considerable amount of time. The one saving grace is that it's kinda symmetrical, once I get a good result for a braid, the rest can be duplicated and manipulated, but even so, this is by far the hardest and most time consuming to make on the list.

Hairstyle 3:

- A basic loose ponytail with volume (like the pictures) and some loose bangs in the front. I didn't search for a front image that would kinda match what I'm going for, but you can still get a good ideea how it'd look from the ones above.

- I think this is my personal least favourite from the 3, but it's also definitely the fastest to make out of all and still has some of the pros I mentioned in the first style in the poll.

- The previous hairstyle that I made also had a ponytail in the back but it was kinda anemic and more of an afterthought. Since the ponytail is the main feature of this hairstyle, it's definitely going to be more of a focus this time.

Neither/Stick to wearables/clothing/armor for now:

- Self explanatory options, though I've included 2 "no" options in this poll. While they both achieve the same thing here (as in poll fails, no hair and I'll put up something else as the next poll), they kinda have different meanings. It can be really hard for me to judge what people are interested in or if they like what I'm doing and releasing, so use the last option as a "hey I'm not interested in hair at all, no matter what it is". The "neither" option is more for "I don't like these hairstyles in particular, I'd still like to see more hair in the future".

Anyway, that's all the poll options explained. I'd usually end these by putting up a time frame where you could expect it to be released if the poll passes, but for this type of stuff, I generally have no ideea, especially now, with more than one possible choice.

The last style took well over 100 hours to make, partially due to some errors on my part, so I'm hoping these will go smoother, but that usually never happens. Before voting, be aware that there may also be a bit of a content drought while I make this, especially if I take it on as a main project and focus on it and nothing else. Last time, I had some stuff ready to go ahead of time and released it as I was making it but that's not really the case this time.

For this reason I'm leaving the poll open a longer period to give me more time to try and get a buffer going (2 weeks+). Regardless, if you're after constant content releases like I've been doing so far, it may be a better ideea to pick a "no" option in this poll.
