Although it was made to look like a chance encounter, the scene was actually a setup. During the hug at the end you can hear that the guy is wearing a lavalier mic. But you can't see the mic on his shirt. This suggests to me that the guy habitually sets up a camera and switches on his microphone when he sits down at a restaurant table, and then starts bothering the staff with his Jesus spiel. I suspect he does this a lot, and it usually falls flat. But once in a while he gets a half-arsed result like the one half-shown here, and publishes it as a success story.
