March rewards (Patreon)

Hi everyone and thank you for your support this month!

As you can see this month the amount of works were very few compared to previous months. There are few reasons for that.

The first one is that I started working on commissions. By now I thought my Patron campaign would have given better results. That wasn't the case so I had to take this path. The problem is that within less than a year I will graduate from school (well if the COVID wants me too xD) and if I want to quit my eventual job and dedicate myself full time to drawing, I need to gain a certain amount of money to cover my life espensives.

I'd rather like to share my work with all of you instead doing commissions just for a few, but sadly financial stability is what matters to live, and in the meantime I achieve that with this Patron I have no other solution but to take commissions.

This will not majorly affect by any means my work here and the quality of my pieces for the current month. The biggest noticeable change will be that I'll probably stick more often to a maximum of 4 pieces each month. Less than that is impossible, or at least I'll give my maximum effort to not drop below that number. I've seen other artist's Patreons and nearly anyone put up the amount of works that I do, some of them even post only 2 pieces per month. So I think I can afford myself to take things at more ease.

At least you guys still be the only ones to receive the majority of my content.

The second and arguably most important one is that I don't want to burn myself due to workload. I really enjoy drawing, and it would really sucks if I come to hate it because it doesn't leave me enough time to dedicate to other things I love, like watching anime, reading manga, playing games, etc.

Como pueden ver la cantidad de trabajos fueron bastante inferior comparada a meses anteriores. Hay varias razones para eso.

La primera es que empecé a hacer comisiones. Pensé que para estas alturas el Patreon iría mucho mejor, cosa que no fue el caso, por lo que tuve que recurrir a esto. El problema es que en menos de un año estaré graduándome de la escuela (si el coronavirus quiere xD) y si quiero renunciar a mi trabajo y dedicarme a esto a jornada completa, tengo que asegurar ganancias suficientes para cubrir mis necesidades de vida.

Normalmente preferiría compartir mi trabajo con todos ustedes en vez de hacer comisiones para unos pocos, pero desgraciadamente la estabilidad financiera es lo que define la calidad de vida, y de momento que llego a ese punto con el Patreon no me queda otra solución que tomar comisiones

Esto no afectará en gran medida mi trabajo en el Patreon, ni la calidad de los trabajos mensuales. El único cambio notable es qe estaré limitandome a solo 4 dibujos por mes. Menos que esos erá imposible, o al menos haré mi máximo esfuerzo para no caer debajo de ese número. Luego de revisar otros Patreons de otros artisas que sigo, he visto que muy pocos mantienen el ritmo de trabajo mío, algunos incluso solo producen 2 piezas al mes. Por eso creo que puedo permitirme tomar las cosas con más calma.

Al menos ustedes segurian siendo los que reciban la mayoría de mi contenido.

La segunda es quizas la más importante y es que no quiero saturarme de trabajo. Dibujar es lo que más me gusta hacer, y de verdad seria una lástima si llego a quemarme y odiarlo solo porque no me deja tiempo de sobra para dedicarlo a otras cosas que amo, como el anime, el manga, los videojuegos, etc.
