Helloooooooo! Sorry for missing last week's update (and almost this one), but at least video consistency has been on point for January! Some of you may already know I've started working on a new actually-kind-of-proper-not-just-messing-about-prototyping game! I'm also trying to seek out an artist friend to help make it great. You can read more here: http://shaunspalding.co.uk/?p=724 Those of you crazily cool enough to be pledging in the $20 range will get access to in development builds of "Project 2" as soon as it reaches a semi presentable pre-alpha state. I will also post dev logs about the game as it develops. (Those I will likely extend to the $5 supporters as well.) I have a proper schedule in place now so don't worry about this new game impacting video production. One new tutorial will always come every week. I'm probably going to change the milestone for $750, perhaps removing that one altogether. I don't think two tutorial videos a week is a viable goal anymore and wouldn't allow me the time to do anything other than make videos. There have been some changes to gamemakertutorials.com too, so go and check out the new tutorials section. Still trying to work out how to present the homepage. Right now it's rubbish and not even updated properly. The whole blog look was a bad idea, needs a total rethink. I'm happy enough with the tutorial page for now though and it's easy enough to keep up to date. Next week's video is likely to focus on demonstrating a simple expansion of the inventory system covered previously. While that video gives you all the framework you need, a lot of people seem to be struggling with interacting with that framework. So I want to look into providing some examples of that.

Looking for an artist to help me make a rather depressing game.

Update: to answer some questions, I'm specifically looking for someone with 2d experience, and can draw & animate in a style that would suit angled top-down gameplay. In between tutorials and so on, I've been rather quietly working on a new project recently. Well actually, it's something I've wanted to make for quite a while.
