Plans for the week! 09/10 (Patreon)

TL;DR Summary of the hopeful, liable to change plans for a busy busy week:

• Monday: Patron rewards + general admin, This post, Tribal Tension work day, Brief livestream
• Tuesday: Writing talk for GMMeetup, scripting for Part 8 of Platformer
• Wednesday: Recording + Editing Part 8 of Platformer
• Thursday: Editing/Re-Recording/Thumbnail/Encoding/Upload, Release vid on Patreon
• Friday: Trip to London for GMMeetup. Final video released live
• Following week: work starts on debugging vid

So the poll from last week turned out a result I admittedly wasn't expecting. Turns out quite a few more of you are following the platformer series than I had previously thought! One of the reasons I started alternating between the platformer and the patron poll videos was to provide some variety for folk who weren't interested in that series so I wasn't doing "nothing" for them for months on end, but it does seem like there's a lot of you following that stuff which is great!

I think that above logic still stands as a reason to not endlessly cruise through that series and there was still a good 13 votes for me to cover debugging / performance testing which was also popular in the poll before it. So here's the plan:

This week I'll be working on another part of the Platformer series, given the last one was a lot of content to digest for not a significant amount more progress in the game I get that some viewers are hungry for more and two weeks can be a long time to wait when you're following along.

When part 8 is done, I'll be working on a video covering debugging & performance testing. It's been second place twice in a row with not insignificant numbers and some of you specifically expressing your interest in the comments.

Getting ahead here, given this was a post about plans for this week, but after that, chances are I'll run another poll to keep gauging interest and adjusting accordingly. There have been some interesting topic suggestions from you guys (which I recommend you post in comments around here if you have them!) so it'd be nice to see what people think.

Back to this week, I've got a bit going on. I'm giving a talk at the next GMMeetup in London on Friday (same as my usual video release day) so I have to put some time into actually yknow, writing a talk >_>. I'm sure I'll get footage of that for the channel too.

I'll also be passing out another mass message for Patrons to get access to things like my platformer slopes code and so on. 

S'gonna be a busy week! I feel like at least something will likely fall off schedule as it's really tight but at the top of this post you can see what I hope to get done. Platformer series videos are ones I tend to be able to do quickly due to rarely needing a ton of editing.
