Annnnnnd I'm back! (I know this update was supposed to come yesterday, but to cut a long story short 'some things came up'.) For those of you who don't know, I'm a fairly avid Street Fighter 4 player. Like, when I say avid, I mean I often visit and even _personally run_ regional level tournaments for street fighter 4 (and other fighting games). November 22nd was home to '3sports' my third annual tournament hosted for the North East of the UK. ( https://www.facebook.com/events/877983352229278/?fref=ts ) Preparing for that event, both the management of it and participating myself alongside all of the lecturing stuff and generally being away from home this month is what's most largely affected my YouTube activity recently. But before Christmas comes around, my priority is to get videos uploaded. I did find a small bit of time to edit together and upload part 3 of my AP talkthrough last week, and part 4 is rendering literally as I type this. I recently had to prepare a lot of GM content for my University lectures on gamemaker, largely in the field of making point and click adventure games. What I've done is to make video content to follow up these lectures both to help my students and give you guys some fresh stuff at the same time. I'll be a bit more specific, because I think some of these topics will be quite exciting to you guys. Expect to see videos on: grid based pathfinding in GMS. (In the context of a point and click adventure, but should be very widely applicable!) a flexible and simple to manage inventory system. drawing dialogue boxes and text to the screen in advanced ways. Thank you again for your patience. Even though there haven't been videos and I haven't been able to keep up with my milestone promise this month, work has definitely been done and I hope that the wait will have been worth it once this stuff gets edited and uploaded =) I couldn't be doing it without you guys. -S
