Content

Good aftermidnight, Patrons! So on Tuesday I finally(!) got myself some solid time at home to sit and get content done. I was able to record two videos worth of footages that I am in the process of editing together for uploading tomorrow (Thursday). This includes the second 30 minute part of my AP Design Talkthrough which seems to have been fairly well recieved thus far, and also a fresh tutorial on Animation basics for the platforming series. I'm pretty happy with both. Fortunately whatever has been plagueing my PC when it comes to audio playback and sync issues has mysteriously (seriously, I have no idea how) disappeared and everything is back to normal. I can now stream and record in sync again and my editing software no longer crawls to a halt while dealing with any kind of audio. Whatever caused this temporary nightmare I hope it does not make a comeback. It does worry me slightly that I have no idea what caused or fixed it. Hopefully once those videos are uploaded I want to try and draft some more written article content for gamemakertutorials.com. I'm in the process of rethinking the design of the site, with the thought to further simplify it down from the typical wordpressy 'blog' style it has now to something just focused on simple tutorial accessibility and organization. I feel like even just a pretty page that had a big list of links to my videos and articles would be stronger than the site in its current form, which is hard to update and not overly pleasant to navigate. (This is why it tends to go not updated for large chunks of time.) Still planning and thinking on topics for next weeks videos, so if you have suggestions make them heard on the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FpgkdQa56aPFIHUjIDevayXb8ppazQ8qTLnuXvlTl1I/edit#gid=0 I've been recently teaching at Teesside University for those of you who don't know. The lectures/practicals I'm teaching on game maker are for a module where the students are tasked with making a point and click adventure game. As a result there's a good chance I'll start a new video series on Point & Click games in order to help these guys out and share the wealth with the rest of you guys at the same time. I've learned a bunch of new things already myself by investigating the genre so hopefully this will mean lots of good stuff for everyone. I'm probably going to kill the whole patreon "Q&A" video idea as I don't think it's really sustainable or useful how I had originally planned to operate it (almost nobody had questions to contribute, which is understandable since smaller questions get answered here on this patreon and by email/skype etc, and specific topic requests are now covered by the voting spreadsheet.) I'll remove this from the tier reward stuff soon so there isn't confusion about this. I feel like I want to offer some other form of interaction to the $5 crowd to replace this but I haven't decided what yet. Watch this space. Well... not this exact space but. You know what I mean. Thank you again and thank you always for your continued support. I will always do my very best to answer any and all questions here on my patreon page, or in private messages here on patreon. Lets go November!

Agreed on the Q&A bit. :) Keep up the great work. The talkthrough was amazing and insightful. I look forward to your future tutorials/talkthroughs!
