Ok so this is the first in depth preview for the big update for SVR, now if you watched my last video about a month ago I said that it was between SVR V2 and SVR07 for PS3 for a release sometime this summer I went with svr as it was further along than svr 07 on ps3.

This has taken the better part of a little of the last year to work on and theres still new stuff to show for the next preview much like sym allot of little added missable details are also currently being added so I hope that stuff is well liked! While it took awhile to think about what to add other than just removed characters like Rikishi and Brock (they are here if you didnt read the last post) I think all these additions have really opened this game up about as much as it could.

ROSTER:

To start things off the roster size has been increased to included a host of new additions to the Superstar and Legends rosters such as Mick Foley, Lance Storm, Goldust, William Regal, Eugene, The Hurricane, Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat and more. You may also notice that this continues the trends set in 06's de and the new sym ver where character attires, tag teams, stables and in game iconography (more on this next update) closely match the time period in game which in this case is 03-04 as you can see with Jindrak & Cade, Orton,Big Show and so on.

SEASON MODE:

When it comes to the season mode, the first change you will notice is upon starting the game the default champions are now (RAW) World Heavyweight Champion : Chris Benoit, Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton and (Smackdown)  WWE Champion : Eddie Guerrero & U.S Champion John Cena. I tested out multiple champions such as HHH and Lesnar but ultimately I feel that this is the best middle ground plus its the only game set when Benoit and Eddie were world champions.
Secondly every superstar and legend on the roster is now fully playable in season mode not to mention some stars are moved to their correct shows to reflect the time period.
The next big change if you look at the photo of Eddie with the WWE title, you'll notice its using the brand new 2 tone gold title that I made for the SYM update and will be used for all games on ps2 going forward, It's so much better than that awful flat inaccurate image they used in sym onward.
Next I've removed all of Kurt Angle's Voice over lines in the season mode, Kurt now returns to the playable roster in season and Paul Heyman is now the permanent GM for Smackdown during the season mode, Yes you will need captions on but I thought is was a much needed change.

CREATE MODES:

Now this one took for ever to do and I'm not even sure if its just me that cares about it but all moves in Create A Move-Set that were changed to generic names from HCTP and further in SVR have been renamed back to what they were in the previous 4 games. For example THQ changed the names of Superstar specific moves like The Peoples DDT to things like DDT 9! This drove me insane when I saw this because if you were creating a move-set gone was the ease of finding Superstar specific moves. So if you take a look at the photo of Austin in CAM you'll see that I spent forever and a day changing every preexisting move back to what they were beforehand, So you'll see the return of Austin Punches, The Rock Spinebuster's, Regal Knee Strikes, Booker T Scoop Slam, Hurri-Suplex, Correctly named Superstar Taunts and Fight Stances are all back for your ease of use.
While we're talking about moves, as previewed last year more removed moves have been added back from generic moves to specific moves like Undertaker and Austins Spinebusters.
Now looking at the image of RVD in CAM you'll see that just like in SYM, SVR v2 has a massive amount of new TitanTrons and Theme Music for your Superstars, Legends, Tag Teams and Stables. Evolution 01 for example is their TitanTron with Randy Orton and 02 is one without the Legend Killer.
This works super well because the Legends all now have their own titantirons!
You'll also notice now that when loading into CAM the game will now load the model of the superstar you choose just like in JBI and SYM instead of the Green man.
Moving on to Create A Championship, there are now over 30 Championship Belts available to be created steaming as far back as the Green strap WWF title to as modern as the U.S Spinner title and all the in between from WWF, WWE,NWA, WCW, ECW and NWA-TNA. So now you can create a belt to your liking and relive history in CAPPV

MENU & EXTRAS :

Lastly for this preview this upcoming ver will have an optional menu, if you're fed up with the diva's dancing around, you can opt to have a Superstar Menu featuring Kane, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, RVD, Booker T and the Undertaker. I put this together more for myself but figured some of you might prefer it as well.
Other optional vers will include a PPV music OST much like the ones in 06 and 07 de's
As well as a ver with the games original soundtrack with no music during matches just like the prototype ver.
The next preview will cover crazy little things like updates to the GM office haha so stay tuned for that craziness
