Commentary

True story: I didn't intend for Nanase to do anything in this moment. I was sorting out what was going to happen with Larry talking to the mayor, and whether Larry was going to act this out, or describe it.

Thing is, Nanase's nervous about acting. There's no way she wouldn't react to Ellen pointing out that not acting was an option.

It does raise the question of why Ellen didn't point this out to Nanase before, and I'd mostly say she didn't think of it, probably thought Nanase wanted to act out her character in spite of being nervous, and/or the good old fashioned go-to reason for why we do or don't do most things in life:

"Hindsight is 20-20".

As for whether people do this in their games, as might sound repetitive at this point, I assume it depends on the individual gaming group.
