Having some understanding of change blindness, and knowing that Grace could get away with sometimes play around with it, Ashley thought she could transform herself at the mall without Liz, or anyone else, noticing.

She was mistaken, but also determined to not acknowledge that she had changed in any way.

Love the expressions and Ashley's little blush.

Not sure what to make of the vertical lines on her midriff. They don't evoke toned abs. My first thought was stretch marks, but those are unusual on slim bellies.

I like Liz's outfit.

If she were a seyonolu like Grace, I might think they were poorly-disguised fur lines. The main reason that explanation popped into my mind is because I was delighting at her long torso and imagining her as a ferret or something similarly musteline.

Can't tell if Liz is thinking "What happened?" or "Who does this girl think she's fooling?" Also, I just plain like Liz, and I'm glad Ashley has Liz as a friend.

Given what we've seen of Liz in the past, almost certainly the latter. "Oh God, you're going to be one of THOSE couples." "What was that?" "I said you're both dorks." But yeah, every nice idealist like Ashley could do with a cynical realist friend like Liz.

Due to the way skin stretches, the vertical lines denoting the edges and centre of abdominal muscles become prominent far more easily than the horizontal lines separating the rows. (The horizontal lines normally only show up when either actively flexing, or when mildly both starved & dehydrated)

Personally, I feel like Dan succeeded here. I think it sounds like James C agrees with me, but by stating facts rather than a conclusion, their conclusion is not necessarily completely clear. Their facts are why it looks like "somewhat of a toned stomach" was exactly what I thought. This is, incidentally, roughly as developed as I ever got my own stomach. I may be a guy and so developing abs may be relatively easy for me, but no matter how many sit-ups I did, no matter how many minutes I spent in plank, I got no further than this. Admittedly, I did have more tummy fuzz (and still do.)

I think I agree with Liz. Ashley's little hair tendrils are enough a part of her, magicking them away is about as believable as me magicking myself with neat hair. I'm not sure why Ashley doesn't like them. They make her distinctly her. But I guess since that's the only change she made, thatś the only thing she wants to change about herself. ;)
