There MIGHT be a Q&A two weeks after Balance is over, and it is ending quite soon! Friday, in fact!

I need to know what questions I'd be answering by a week from Friday, however, and whether I have enough that people want answered that I can work with, so...

If you have a Q&A appropriate question, please, ask away. It MIGHT get an answer.

The Tam Eh Tedd storyline seems to indicate that William has direct knowledge of the Uryuom homeworld which seems somewhat inconsistent with the information that Uryuoms first arrived here during the Bronze Age Collapse and the info that they're not aliens, so I'm curious what's going on there.

Is there any major magical significance to heterochromia?

What is Ted's preferred operating system?

What have Kitty and Felix been up to?

Summoning magic, like the dragon or the fire monster, where does the summoned creature come from? Do they come from the otherside of the universe where the griffins live? Were they pulled randomly from the multiverse? Are they literally ripped from the magic user's imagination? Are the creatures mind controlled or are they essentially mindless magical automatons? Just really curious.

I don't remember if this was covered but has the not change in magic affected Sensei Greg?

James C

*affected. If it effected Sensei Greg, then that means it made Sensei Greg happen. (So, the *previous* magic system effected him, and we want to know if the changes have affected him)

It'd be my guess that they're still in contact with their parent planet and still make visits, but they live here. That leaves open the possibility that some Uryuoms are first generation, but it's also possible that new arrivals have been suspended at least in the US due to current immigration forms not having the right options for them. I mean, I kind of recall the Uryuoms depicted being the sort who might object to filing out the forms improperly.

I'm going to guess it's the one used by the Uryuom device that Gillian and William loaned to Tedd for them to develop improvments. Sure, like any system, it has its problems, but this one lets the user transform themselves into a form that feels natural to them. With someone who is genderfluid like Tedd, that could be a real sanity saver. Sure, we have treatment that helps people who are simply trans, but nothing that helps those of us whose sense of identity can shift day to day, let alone moment to moment.

Does the Griffin/Mythological side of the Earth run by the same magic rules as the human side? When magic changes on the human side does it chance there as well? Have there ever been times when the magic rules for two facets of the world were emabrrasingly out of sync with each other? Does Magus come from the Griffin side of the world? If not, where?

Who would win a magic contest, Ellen or Rhoda?

Given the well-publicized exploits of Ellen and Nanase, how much is publicly known about their abilities? What was that about Rhea "not" hiding her insecurities with alcohol? Will all four of you be working with Tedd (and given recent developments possibly Elliot and Grace)? What the heck have Kitty and Felix been doing the last few months, especially before the Pandora/vampire incident? Are there any overt magic users in town we don't know?

The talk about bards reminded me of this. Does Ellen have a really good singing voice? Or was that Karaoke flawless victory due to emotive magic? Will she sing again?

Back during Grace's birthday party (and in some other places far back), the TF gun was said to be able to affect sexuality. However, considering that Elliot, Sarah, and Susan aren't exclusively attracted to one gender (not that they knew at the time...), that Justin and Nanase remained attracted solely to their pre-zap gender, and occasional hints Tedd isn't exclusively attracted to women, is this still canon for the TF gun or is it a case of "Tedd didn't understand the magitech at the time"?

Windscion

Pretty sure it has a superficial effect. Ellen describes her attraction to men as feeling like something tacked on. So people who were on one end or the other of the kinsey scale are likely in much the same place, whereas those more toward the center found it easier/more natural to adapt. Put it another way: it isn't mind control.

It's probably too late for this to make the cut, but is it possible for burnout to turn one's hair "mysterious"?
