I had a difficult time sorting what to do next. On top of having a bad time emotionally for most of the weekend, I couldn't think of how to follow up the previous comic.

I felt like I needed to do some sort of continuation, but I didn't want to go totally off the rails and have it be "this is what we're dealing with for the next couple of weeks", either.

Then I thought of this, and on top of it making clear that tickle play fighting did happen, it made me laugh, which I really needed. So here we are.

Also, I'm sorta big on mystery shows and Case Closed, so bonus points in my mind.

I am sorry you had a bad weekend emotionally. That is to bad. We like you a lot, and many of us have been reading your work and stuff online for years. We care about you, in the ways of the net. I hope next weekend is better. P.S. Case Closed is kick-ass.

Adama

Well now I've got a tickle fight to imagine. Yay! :) (not sarcasm)

CURSE YOU SHIVE!!!! (Not really but sorta)

Viktor

You realize that you just guaranteed that I suggest a Duck-involved tickle fight for this set of surveys, right?

M.

Agreed with all of this. Hope you feel better soon, Dan.

Hahaha, I actually said "Wait, what the hell?" out loud when I saw this post. Glad to see the ol' Demonic Duck, though.

"making clear that tickle play fighting did happen, it made me laugh," YAY!!

Is it sad that I recognized not just that it was a Case Closed reference, but the exact episode it's referencing, before I finished the second panel? I feel like it's a sad thing.

Stephen Gilberg

I for one welcome this change of scenery.

No. Rubber devil duckies do exist, but the demonic duck is not inspired by any outside source. I just wanted something bizarre as a distraction, ducks are funny, and "demonic duck" is alliteration. It just happens I was not the first to think things like that.

Huh, neat. I've never heard of those existing before. I've only ever seen it on that book cover, and... you. :) But okie dokie!
