An extremely memorable duo

- At egscomics

Good old, um… Oh heck. Spin the wheel!

Okay, what'd we get? Hitori and Kita? I'm about ninety-percent sure that ain't right.

Commentary

"We have no memory of these dates..."

"For you, it was a date on Friday night. For me, it was Tuesday."

"We... Ah..." Dang it, I couldn't think of third movie to paraphrase. Fellowship of The Ring and Street Fighter, by the way.

High Schools in the USA are four years, with second years being sophomores, and third years being juniors (maybe not everywhere in the country, but where I was, anyway). I had Camdin use those words at first, but panel space can be cruel sometimes, so I changed it to the shorter second and third years.

Put another way, their date(s) was / were a couple years ago.

Why do their names matter? I mean, they’d be nice to have, but you can get by on “Hey” for a conversation pretty easily. I’d be more concerned about Diane and Lucy not remembering which of them they each dated.

They're hoping to more easily fake their way through the conversation and/or actually remember their date(s).

Diane and Lucy are fine up until the second Rhoda and Catalina come back, when they will be expected to do introductions. Funny thing - that's the same second these two will also not be fine, for different reasons.

So, what we really need is for Justin and Luke to turn up and turn this into a triple-date, so that Luke can greet them by name?
