I'm not a hater...I'm really not. I often defend these franchises even when they don't necessarily deserve it. ......but THIS one. 😕💩

This movie made me walk out pls don’t watch new mutants

The writing on this movie was .... not great. Which is a shame. The young actors in this are all really good. But the story and even the directing are just bad. The choices for the story were lame. Raven is a better bad guy. Or at least not trying to be made into a hero. Given the situation in this movie, what choice did Charles have? Let Jean remember that she killed her mother? That's one way to make sure she doesn't survive her own grief and abilities that she couldn't control. New Mutants is a fun one. I thought, anyway. It's a good October movie, too.

I laugh every time you call him young Chaz no worries hahahaha

This movie is garbo. I've pretty much felt that way since I first watched this in theaters. Really not a fan of this one. So many changes to characters and plot elements were either invented for this or super done up by the studio. A disappointing end to X-Men but hey, very happy that it's dead after this. Oh wait, no, there's New Mutants.. welp, that one's plain terrible as well. I really don't like ending watchalongs midway through but I can't watch this again. I'm throwing in the towel at 30:20:41. Hope everyone enjoys their day! :)

The thing to remember about this one is that it was scheduled to be released about 4 months before Captain Marvel. Why does that matter? Well, Disney was in the process of purchasing Fox at the time and demanded massive rewrites, plus it had to be pushed back until the next summer. See, they didn't want Jean flying into space as the Phoenix and battling a bunch of aliens. You know, like Captain Marvel did at the end of her movie. It was a mess, but Fox could do nothing about it. (It's also why a bunch of Disney jokes were removed from Deadpool 2.)

Like this if you think he should skip New Mutants

Kev Martin

Definitely should NOT skip it. Just because you dislike something, doesn't mean everyone else does or will.

I've heard similar things - mostly unsubstantiated, not from a source who would actually know. But I did see quotes from Tye Sheridan who was of course involved, explaining how the original script had an ending involving Skrulls, which would make perfect sense to change since the MCU had Skrulls at the core of Captain Marvel, as well as plans for the future MCU projects. And what I saw Ryan Reynolds say was that "a" Disney/MCU joke was removed from Deadpool 2 on instruction from Fox/Disney.

Quicksilver doesn’t control time bro. He just runs so fast time slows up, dark phoenix just reacted faster than he could run They were at a funeral shit Storm sadness was probably the reason it was raining in the first place

“May the power of Christ compel you, bitch!” Is one of the greatest lines I’ve ever heard.

Just because u didn’t like it doesn’t mean others didn’t or won’t. Let him form his own opinion. Who are you to tell others how to feel and what they should watch just because you don’t like it. U are not forced to watch it.

I wasn’t a big fan of this movie or New Mutants but let him decide on his own if he likes it. Sometimes it’s about the experience and watching different stories. He may hate it but he’s a full grown adult who can decide for himself if he likes it. At least this way he can say he watched it. Then we can all commiserate together about how much we hated it. See… unity.
