I wish more of that was related to the stuff you saw in the movies, almost everything on this list was little details only mentioned in the books. Still a great video though, glad you enjoyed!

Ive read all of the books at least 5x and I knew all these you should 100% do audiobook recordings or react to movieflames videos on the differences between the movies and their book

Christina Matzen

That’s not fair, you didn’t read the books so of course you missed most of what they are talking about. Dude, I would totally sit and listen to the audiobooks with you on Patreon! Jim Dale is the reader and he holds the Guinness World Record for most voices done, for this series. Really, man. You should do the books, there is so much more information. The whole part after Snape dies and Harry is looking at his memories was so much better, they specifically talk about how it was Snape who sent the doe and left the sword for them and how much he loved Lilly and that they were best friends in school.

Vincent Baierl

Well I mean they kinda showed that thing with Snape in the movies aswell, they Show him doing the doe patronus and them Show a flashback of harry seeing the doe in the forest. But ye overall the movies left many things out like voldemords backstory and so on

Jim Dale?!? The audiobooks in English are read by Stephen Fry

I would love to sit and listen to audiobooks with you! I'm finally reading the books after owning them for almost 3 years lol and I'm only on chapter 5 or 6 of The Sorcerers Stone 😅 and #1 always gets me, its so amazingly written/explained

There are 2 main versions, Jim Dale, and Stephen Fry. personally i listened to the Jim Dale, and his voices are really great. as op said, he even held the world record for number of unique voices in a single audiobook at the time (not any more it seems). edit: also wanted to add, and i've said it before, i would also be interested in an audiobook "listen along" though it would be a significant time investment

dumbledore wasn't death. rather death showed himself to harry as dumbledore, i think because death comes to you basically how you see it. harry wasn't afraid of death so he was able to be comfortable in its presence

Liam Mcfarlane

"He greeted death as an old friend" - Dumbledore wasn't death, but that's how death presented himself to Harry to make him most comfortable

Another cool plot point that's more evident in the books than in the movies is that Neville could have been the chosen one. Both were born at the end of July (Neville on the 30th and Harry on the 31st) to parents who had thrice defied Voldemort. The reason Harry became the chosen one is because Voldemort chose to go after him since Lily was muggle-born whereas Neville's parents were both pure-blood - Voldemort himself was born to a muggle father and so long story short, he assumed the prophecy to be about Harry as opposed to Neville. I like how the movies allude to this by having Neville be the one to stand up to Voldemort when Harry is "dead" and by having Neville be the one to destroy the final horcrux so Voldemort can be defeated

There's also videos up on YT you should definitely check out which are differences between the books and the films all uploaded by MovieFlame.

One other detail that's kind of cool is the connection between Harry and the Philosopher's Stone. Legend is that the stone would be created by combining a white stone, a red stone, and a black stone. Harry has three Father Figures: Albus Dumbledore ("albus" means "white"), Rubeus Hagrid ("rubeus" means "red"), and Sirius Black ("black" means, well, "black").

And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to the undisputed best Harry Potter fan film out there, a fan film of VERY professional quality and to which many film reactors have reacted. "Severus Snape and the Marauders." It's only a half hour long and there is no copyright so it can go on YouTube in its entirety with no copyright issues. The casting is superb (young James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily, Severus, and one other I shall not name) and the effects are near top-notch. Please react! https://youtu.be/EmsntGGjxiw

Yes ABSOLUTELY react to the audiobooks. and if you do decide to listen to them, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend getting the ones narrated by Stephen Fry. He nails every voice.

Yeah you'd definitely have to read the books to catch most of these, like Peeves cause he wasn't in the films

you should definitely do a reaction to the audio books for patron, Stephen Fry does a great job in his narration he really gets the personality of the characters

Caroline

You should check out deleted scenes. They are pretty good. I also watched the London premiere of Deathly Hollows 2. It was more than 3 hours long, but I really enjoyed it. Watching all the actors arrive, sign autographs and give interviews. Pretty cool, I would have loved to have been there.

I’d love to see the audiobooks reactions!! 🙌

Jim Dale does great versions of the audio books as well. I have listened to them dozens of times during my daily two hour commute.
