January 2024 Progress Report (And Part 3!?!) (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

If you reached the end of Cherubim’s route then you already know this but yes, Repurpose will be receiving one FINAL update to the game.

This update, without spoiling anything, will allow the MC to enact the best possible ending with their favorite romanceable (or friend under specific circumstances if you choose Cheri, Faye, Rosita, or Irene)!

( I wrote this part late Jan) This month was a half break half work on stuff for upcoming convention so there isn’t much for me to report in terms of progress but I’ll share what little my partner and I worked on.

Art

Virtues Seraphim sprite!! Thanks to Virtues I learned that I need to get a new monitor because she is really desaturated in comparison to when I view her on my tablet, phone, or partner’s monitor. She’s meant to have very vibrant colors along with her extravagant appearance.

I didn’t get much done art wise for the game done… but soon as I post this I’m working on the next sprite!!!

Writing

At present my partner and head writer, Sam, has written 24K words for it! Mind you this is a word count shared with EVERY OTHER romancanble character but we believe part 3’s content will add another 150K words to Repurpose’s overall word count. Woohoo!

Spin-off / Side project

An idea I had for a small spin off of sorts with Hana that I think would be quick and funny to make. Considering I voice Hana I could even voice all the voiced parts. I might work on it on the side while working on Repurpose Part 3 or just dedicate a week to jam it out. If it’s an interesting idea to people I might consider actually making it.

Hana chatsim game-

Player gets to bully/befriend/flirt with Hana!!!!

Requires: chatsim format

Premise ideas:

• Hana put out an ad for someone to be her friend. MC can accept money or just do it for free and befriend/bully/flirt from there
• Get added to a group chat with Hana and other loser characters. Hana is the first one to dm MC after most of the gc goes to bed and can befriend/bully/flirt her
• Randomly get sent a friend request from Hana and befriend/bully/flirt from there

Playtime: 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Part 3 release date

Currently, we don’t have a date in mind but it will definitely not be Christmas again like part 2 lol. We’re hoping for a mid to late summer at the latest.

That's all for this January! It’s short but it was both a busy and destressing month for us here and we’re going back to work to get the final update to the game out within the next few months!
