Hey again!

How's everyone doing this month? I’ve been mostly okay myself trying to get stuff ready for a convention (megacon orlando) and processing my grief from last month. I will admit it's still a little hard for me to get 100% on track with game dev production for multiple reasons. Like still feeling the burnout and dread from December bc I overworked myself just to meet a deadline, convention preparation which doubles as me advertising the game while there, my brothers passing especially… I feel a lot of guilt that I spent a majority of my last two years working on a game and didn’t get to spend more time or talk to him as much as I could have. I had maybe one month when I was on vacation to call him up more and I feel like I squandered it. Its also like…. This game takes place with a bunch of dead people in the afterlife so it makes it hard to not think about my own grief when its still very much fresh.

So I’ve been mostly focusing on con stuff since that's a big pull of income for me and when it comes to game dev work I (try to) limit myself to 4-hour work days. That's not to say this month hasn’t been completely fruitless.

Without further ado, let's get to talking about that! Today I’ll just be covering writing since that's all that got done this month.

For writing, we’ve finalized Cheri’s route OUTLINE and have 10K words drafted for chapter 1 alone so far! Sam’s been doing good work on making their route really enjoyable and I’m excited for people to fall in love (or further in love) with him! In case it wasn’t obvious I’ve been using all pronouns for Cheri here since all three of them are correct at moment.

… That's all I can share for this month, sorry. It’s been a slow walk to get back into the swing of things for Sam and I with our own respective life struggles and obligations.

Next month I would like to finalize Faye’s myself since all but the final half of her end chapter and endings are left for me to do. And she’s subject to some minor rewrites in her earlier chapters since we came up with some new ideas.

Overall a slow start but given the circumstances, I hope you’ll find this understandable and know some work is being done. Part 2’s ETA is “it’s done when it’s done and not a moment sooner!”

Thank you for reading and call your mother, brother, father, cousin, or whoever is important in your life even if nothing much is going on.

Hope you have a fun and lucrative convention! As far as Repurpose, I'm in it for the long haul, so take as long as you need.
