October 2022 Progress Report (Patreon)

Ahoy there mateys!

This month I FINISHED programming Noel’s route.

All that’s left for me to do is render all the CG art and add all the VO audio then part 1 will be complete! Still not giving a date on release since I also have to market the game so I can get as many eyes as possible for public release but I’m certain it's gonna be before New Year.

Chapter 2 Noel CG WIP

It’s supposed to be a POV shot of him holding the player as they fly away but I don’t think I conveyed it quite well… I’ll work on it next month.

I’m adding some item art to pop up during sections to make some scenes more engaging. Not a lot, just when I feel it's necessary and if I have the energy for it.

All the sprites have received their final renders!

Programming

All the routes are playable! Some persistent values need to be added so that save transfers for part 2 will work and CGs unlock in the gallery but that’ll be done for the final release.

Voice Over

Just finished recording Noel’s lines last week so all of part 1’s audio is recorded! I just need to implement Hordes, Noel, all three Cheri’s, some Faye, some DJ Roadkill into the game Maybe remove Hana’s while the voice directors aren’t looking.

We had some recasts due to old VA’s no longer having time to contribute to the project so Faye will be played by Nina Sumter, Noel by John Patneaude, Irene by Vyn Vox, and Hordes by Adrian Garcia (who also voices Ramon).

That does it for this month! I’m so close to having this finished!! I’m excited and equally parts dreading being done with part 1. I never really meant for this project to take up so much of my life that the idea of putting it out to the public for people to judge fills me with so much fear even if the beta build players have given me overwhelmingly positive feedback on the game and its stories.
