Nick, We need Naruto🔥🔥🔥 (only me)

Dendun

Yes!!🔥🔥 (i need Narugoat)

Adam

As there only is 5 episode left of the season I would strongly recommend that one of next weeks Haikyuu vids are a 3 episode reaction as it would be the perfect finish

Matthis

Tf we are losing this one don't spoil me even before watching it

Lucian

Hey Nick, just wanted to let you know that in both the Code Geass and Haikyuu videos the screen is cut at the top, so for example we cant see the subs whenever something is at the top of the screen! Thank you for the videos!

Toff

OIKAWA

titofox

The screen is cut at the top and we can't see the subs when they put them at the top. Besides that, amazing reactions as ever, I love how happy you look when you watch Haikyuu, it sure is an amazing show.

Matthis

Idk why he dont put the full screen and for us too, it would even be easier this way to not take a look at the title

Flaycont

Why doesn't he just watch in full screen

HAIKYUU TIMEEE this time, a few things you probably missed since you were talking a lot during these eps: * first, a quick reminder that many of aoba johsai's players went to middle school with kageyama: oikawa, iwaizumi (#4, the guy always scolding oikawa), kindaichi (turnip head guy) and kunimi (kindaichi's buddy). ** though you've more or less picked up on the gist of it, i think you missed a few things that clarify the coach's comment about oikawa currently being the better setter more: the core of that statement lies in the fact that oikawa and kageyama, at their cores, are two VERY different kinds of players. kageyama's a naturally skilled player, as oikawa said, power, talent, he's basically got it all. oikawa on the other hand had to work his way up from scratch, and where kageyama was able to pull through easier because of his natural talent, oikawa had to put in the extra work to keep up. noya hinted at that too when he said that oikawa's serve hadn't used to be nearly as good when he was in MS, and that he'd probably practiced a lot. *** at 38:05, when kindaichi scored a point, oikawa pointed out how there should be no reason for kageyama to be as surprised as he was at that attack. that's because where oikawa had given him the ball had ALWAYS been kindaichi's easiest place to hit. the reason kageyama didn't know that was because he'd never actually paid attention to his teammates in middle school, and thus never bothered to figure out how to bring out the best in them. **** i found it a bit funny how you pointed out matsukawa when he was up to serve and that "no one knows who he is," bc he's actually a rather well-liked character! him and the pink-haired guy on aoba johsai are a great duo, tho their roles in the main story are mainly for comedy relief. they get some more spotlight outside of that, though, as do many other characters that are less present in the main series. ...anyway, been a while since i had this much to say & who knows if anyone'll even read all that. REMINDER that there's an OVA that i suggest watching before you start season 2! it has a few different names, but just look for the first one, if it has the name "Lev" in it you've got it. again, you can put up a poll to decide whether or not to watch it if need be.

Gabo

Hey Nick, the screen is cut at the top... just so you know!

Abigail Jerry

Gotta out respect on that team. They are really good for a reason! I love that this anime is REALISTIC with how some teams are better than others and sometimes you never what what underdogs may take the lead ❤️‍🔥 🏐

kimcch

it's a volleyball anime with incredibly well-written characters that does give you LOTS of room for analysis & interpretation. though pretty much everything i've said is literally just reading comprehension & pointing out stuff nick might've missed

Nemuru

"I'm not prepared for 10 episodes of anxiety". Season 3 is gonna be killer on you lol

e10

Oikawa is one of my favorite characters in anime 🔥

Vailing Bow

Looks like the vod displayed for us is cut on the top, lol. Also, Aoba Johsai aren't nothing without Oikawa. They can still function, but they're at their best with him. And I love Tanaka. Bro has the best mental fortitude out of anyone in the series. Also the 9 at the end is Suga's (Shooga as Nick pronounces) player number. Kageyama is being subbed out

It’s actually a pretty common thing for volleyball players to retie their shoelaces without needing to often. Volleyball is a fast paced sport so referees will only allow time after a point is scored to cheer and get the ball to the server. If you take too long to get ready they’ll hurry you along. There’s not much time to talk to each other before the whistle for the serve in an official match and each team only gets 2 timeouts per set, so often a player will retie their shoes or pretend to wipe up sweat off the court because the referee has to wait until everyone is ready and that everything is safe. It gives a few extra seconds to communicate or even slow the pace of the game down. Like they show in the 2nd episode, when you panic or stress, you tend to speed up and in a fast sport like volleyball where you can’t hold the ball, too much speed leads to more mistakes and more panic. The team that controls the pace of the game is the team that tends to win, so a lot of players will find little ways to slow down the other team to stop their momentum and take control of the pace and coaches will use the timeouts to do the same. Oikawa sitting with his eyes closed during the time out before he serves is also super realistic because timeouts are frequently used to disrupt a servers focus and rhythm. Often times coaches will have them sit aside so they aren’t distracted by whatever they have to say. Servers tend to have little serving rituals they do every time even in practice to refocus, to control their own pace, for luck, for consistency, whatever. That’s why you see Oikawa bouncing the ball and spinning it twice every time. I love that they include little realistic details like this because it shows they really care about the sport and the players. Yes the manga was written by a former player but the animators including these details when they don’t have to just feels amazing. You can enjoy this anime if you’ve never even heard of volleyball before but these Easter eggs just make it extra special if you have played volleyball. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Wild Wesley

It is that deep brother. For those of us who played volleyball or just like deep storytelling like this show has, then yeah, we’re gonna enjoy it to the fullest. Stop minimizing people’s interest cause that’s a lame thing to do.

Wild Wesley

As someone who gets excited and tends to write a lot too, I read everything and agree!

kimcch

honestly, i watched this anime so many times & i never even picked up on oikawa's little serving ritual being that! it's a tiny detail, but interesting nonetheless

SKAOG

I know others have highlighted it, but the subs at the top get cut off

Matthis

@Poragami It's a volleyball anime not that deep but about the human being, and that's what wonderful and why I finally like it

Matthis

So I finally watched it you didn't spoil good, I hope they don't lose this one, lose first set 100% But I think Kageyama will have his growing up moment again and against the perfect character to really grow up, Hinata will have the words to trigger him, can't wait for the win

Raigo91

"bro i thought it was hinata, he hit rock bottom" i fcking lost it there

Florin DM

God I love the rivalry between these two teams!!! Karasuno and Seijoh really are sworn enemies!!! (Karasuno’s actual rival is Nekoma where Kenma is) And Oikawa is a very good player indeed. But you gotta see the next seasons!!! You haven’t seen nothing yet.

Florin DM

Don’t forget the TO THE TOP Ova’s for Nekoma’s pov after finishing season 3.

kimcch

of course! but season 3 is still a bit away, so we'll have to remind him by then either way. though honestly, i'd prefer if he just read the manga instead. i don't know whose idea it was to squeeze like 15 chapters into two eps, but they did NOT do a good job

Tibbers

Bro you cut the anime screen, check your settings
