I watch peoples reactions so I can see different perspectives when it comes to shows that I enjoy. I have noticed some reactors manage to notice details that I may have not realized or missed in my watchthroughs and have helped me further enjoy the shows I love. There are also some other reactors I can barely stand that dont seem to show their genuine reactions to important moments - and want to try to be the main point of interest in the reactions but tend to miss the finer details that make certain shows as good as they are by giving over the top experessions or comments. I think Nic has set his own pace where I do understand not wanting to be silent while watching a show. I am sure he believes some people may see this as boring for when they pay to see a person reacting and they sit there and not make a comment or noise throughout the reaction. I believe that not every moment in a show NEEDS a reaction though - and that certain times during an episode will definitely demand more attention to avoid missing certain details than others. I do find that there may be times when Nic may overdo his reactions when not much is happening on screen and may miss more important things happening and some people definitely let their views about that be seen in the comments of every single reaction video he posts - but they are still here watching every upload. If you guys dont like these reactions from this creator then you can always go watch someone else and complain about they watch their show differently from how you would watch it.
