The thing is with Black Clover, is that it aired weekly, so the Anime staff had to animate it quickly, unlike other anime that are seasonal releases that had more time to polish the anime. Thus, there will be times when it is a little rough at times, too many people bitch about this though like some how they could do better.

well about the characters quirks it's not like that in the manga. i mean they still have them but the manga only shows them like once or twice. its just in the anime because it was a weekly anime they add the quirks again and again to fill up time. the pacing in the manga is much faster

REGARDING RECAPS: 1. i don't know if others already pointed it out, but though the recaps at the start of the episodes can get pretty long, sometimes there'll also be new scenes mixed in there, like a change of perspective, additional info, etc. i'd suggest skimming through the recaps up til the OP instead of Fully skipping them, just to make sure you're not missing out on anything! 2. the same goes for any upcoming recap episodes, of which there are a couple here and there. there's extra scenes in some of them, a few being fairly important even, so skimming through instead of skipping the episodes altogether would be the best option. it'll be pretty obvious which parts of those eps are just recap/flashback too, so it's easy to figure out which parts to skip ahead to there!

Black Clover was made by multiple studios providing teams for the different parts of the animation (background, foreground, character, cg, etc). Later on in the show you'll notice a huge dip in quality because of one of those studios shutting down and the others having to pick up the slack. They lean into it a bit with the comedy, and it does recover.

I'm running catch up here so I'm half a year late. Just for some characters being similar to one another notes. Fuegolions character was shows roughly a year before rengokus in both manga and anime. So whom was modeled after whom. 🤔
