Frieren is a manga/anime about an ageless elf who's main motivation is to collect all the different magics of the world and learn more about the people that exist so briefly to her.

But, what if Frieren was collecting all the flavors instead of the world, and each part is a century or so apart. She is slowly inflating with flab over the years, but not because she is an unstoppable glutton. She clears her plate and doesn't let any stray piece go to waste even if it falls from her mouth.

Her steady gain is slow enough that she doesn't have any stretch marks, but she may also have a spell to help with that. The world also doesn't have as tasty or unhealthy of foods, so for a long time she still makes those circuits around the continent on foot.

As civilization advances, so do the culinary skills of of it's people. With the food getting better and better, Frieren wants to try them all.

Eventually her consumption makes it too arduous to continue her travels on foot.

Her fitness takes a dive, as she starts taking wagons from town to city to whatever. She never goes hungry on these long boring rides as she keeps her suitcase of holding well stocked with a seemingly infinite supply of snacks. Of course this means her gains start to quickly accelerate.

How does such a lazy blob of an elf fund her culinary espicades? She has a magic spell that can recreate any food that she has tasted before, and she has a lot of variety to choose from. The local chefs and bakers gain new inspiration from ancient flavors to teach to their apprentices and descendants.

Of course Frieren gets restless staying in one place for too long, even if it was months of slow and focused feasting. Frieren doesn't like eating the foods she has eaten before, so her magic isn't even useful for herself.
