Pirate Cave Animated Battle Map (Patreon)
Content
Hi patrons! One of the first maps we created was "Pirate's Cove". We have now come to the conclusion that it is time to draw another part. This is how "Pirate's Cave" was created.
You can use this map as an illustration for an adventure where players are kidnapped by pirates or explore the hidden seat of sea villains.

This animated map has two variants: gridded & gridless and was created in 4K resolution.

After days under the deck the ship finally stops. It’s a weird sensation to stop swimming, the lack of motion is making me sick. I think we’ve achieved our destination, but what was it in the first place?
My inner monologue was stopped by the light from above, and a few seconds later two pirates were dragging me out of my prison.
- Well well well, look at you. Even the elven beauty fades in the darkness of the cell. Captain of the royal fleet, daughter of governor and the lover of the eastern prince. How much will they pay for your life?
The Laughter of his crewmates filled the air. I cannot believe he was the one who caught me. My arch enemy, pirate bonded with dark forces and user of blood magic - Tarloc the Conqueror was laughing into my face.
- At least my life is worth any. Do you think any of those people would give a copper coin to save your life? They are afraid and it’s well known that the only way to leave your crew is by death.
Tarloc’s face went red in a spur of a moment and I saw on the faces of his people that I found a weak spot.
- I give them home! Gold and fame! Respect and loyalty are the only things I demand from the people whose lives I’ve saved! Without me they are nothing. NOTHING!
I know they would be nothing. Poor folks who joined pirates to fill their belly, that’s who they are. They might be beggars or thieves, but the sea gives them a feeling of freedom. I cannot blame them, it’s the only way to make your own fate.
- If you are so noble, maybe you should turn yourself to justice? The trial will be quick and most of the crew might get an amnesty. They will be free people again, without an evil monster as their leader. If we are here, in your hideout, how many people will you sacrifice?
I haven’t seen many prisoners, so you’ll have to use your own people for the rituals, aren’t you?
As we spoke I managed to free my hands from the chains, just in time to block Tarloc’s punch. If he wants to fight, we fight. Let’s see who’s going down today.
