Here's a couple characters that we'll be seeing more of once I get into doing stormbreak proper.

Kloe - Intended protagonist for the plot, she will be operating DENN, or Department of the extra natural and nefarious. Effectively ends up the official that gets to deal with magic and outerrealm stuff showing up and causing problems. Lots of reasons to have to engage problems. Her skillset effectively frames her has the heavy and she has the skillset to be very brute force but prefers to at least do the more controlled methods first. Though she likes to remind people that violence is in fact on the table.

Wisp - Distant supporting cast, will be around occasionally but she is doing her own thing. She is a were-raccoon and thus technically human in my lineup, though I do need to design her human appearance properly. She is supposed to be the rising master of her martial arts form that lets her do sneaky water/mist stuff. She can do some cool stuff like hide inside other people's shadows and explode into mist as a desperation escape.

At some point I will have to nail down some more of the martial arts, right now the beast barony, which these two characters are from, has roughly 3 main styles floating around.

The ninjas brought Tide of steel, that also has lots of nonsense sneaky application. Very tool focused and technical nonsense. lots of utility that helps them do their job. Most of the projected powers of region comes from here. Wisp for example would be able to create subtle trip wires and such as proxy alarms while doing infiltration. Allowing her to pull Metalgear solid-esque espionage action.

The second comes from the native people they reconciled with(there was colonial bullshit before Andrian took over the region. It took a while but it's mostly addressed and healed.) in the beast barony, Earth under heaven, which is very philosophically opposed to the ninja form. Very direct non-subtle, the mountain will crush you style. They anchor themselves to the earth allowing them to effectively cheat leverage and exact much more strength than the average person should be able to.

The third is the combined form that compromises the extremes of both, Kloe uses this form, a statement of unity and fills a practical purpose because the beast barony ninjas are not really front line combatants and they needed something now that they actually, you know, hold their ground. And look at that, a martial art right over there practically built for it! I will have to decide on the special name the combined form has and what nonsense the extremes of Earth under heaven can do that is equivalent to Tide of steel's "Mist poof" at mastery. At minimum with the combined style at high skill can do things like catch cars, which the car being way worse for ware of course.

Slowly the anime bullshit will become real. :)

(and then Andrian is over there, the retired lord of the beast barony, and doesn't have a style that is representative locally, mostly because he is older than the beast barony, he is just a strong bastard that knows how to leverage it.)
