So January's subject is definitely snowbeasts and I will be doing artwork throughout to do that. After February's subject I'll start putting in topics outside of the manatear but in the same setting. Like Slatepaws.

Manatear ecology subjects will explore the entities and threats as they are known, accurately and not. And probably some transformation art related.

Here's a simple description of each.

1, Kobolds and dragons are not standard issue within the manatear and tend to be haphazard combos of creatures. They still typically idolize a dragon and there are "dragony" kobolds. Dragons are also literally dependant on their kobold cult to remain healthy and in desperation will abduct people to replace lost kobolds.

2. The Fey are entities from beyond the veil only able to reasonably access the material plane through the manatear due to the intensity of magic. What do these unworldly creatures do? Start little pet projects, gawk and locals, and get really invested in method acting out bits. The people of the manatear curse the fey like you would a troublesome tourist.

3. The Muse, a far more unique creature that doesn't have multiple instances of themselves, that persist through parasitism. Their powers fluctuate greatly depending on the amount of tribute they garner. Or at their lowest they directly latch on to the beasts of the tear to subsume them. Or have a dumb possession situation when they jump into spellfluxed.

4. Spellfluxed and the Wilder. Spellfluxed are the people of the manatear who persist throughout the endless change. Wilders are those of the spellfluxed who have gained great power of their own. This topic mostly goes over a lot of ground work for the characters running around.

5. The Synthetic, are creatures that do not even pretend to be bound by biological limitations. Pooltoys, rubberized toys, plush critters and outright machines, they are wholly dependent on the manatear in order to persist. Due to their manufactured context they also lead to cloning, factory, and hive contexts.
