just wanted to depict some concepts in colour - first with Simon and Tommy as kids, and then Simon in his freshly-made wraith form :)

i know that i've talked about simon and tommy already but i just think that simon's relationship with his dad is rehashed to hell in fics - i'd love to get little insights into fans' interpretations of what the two riley brothers were like with each other growing up (ESPECIALLY if they're not in each other's lives anymore) because ngl...i don't know if simon as an adult has the energy of an older brother. this is definitely my own bias seeping through, but he feels so intentionally isolated from even the concept of having a family - it's just simon riley, alone, and i think it's interesting to think of how he got there. but also, maybe it's more interesting to lean into the "legend" of him, to find it uncomfortable to even think he was a child once...

anyway i feel like their dad would probably make a habit of dropping his two sons off somewhere and disappearing for the day, so it would end up as simon's responsibility to get them food. I can imagine it being slightly bittersweet, the two brothers eating sandwiches on a park bench in silence.

also i did wanna clarify, since i think i unintentionally made a few people think wraith!simon is naked under those shadows - he's got clothes on!! his shadows just completely overtake them, but yes, he's still technically in the clothes he wore when he was buried.
