Chapter 2419: Extra - Fu Xiangdi and Guo Bing

Yuangui and Kang Shuxian got married at the end of last year, even Shu Yu hadn't expected that these two would end up together.

Initially, the matchmaker and Aunt Ah Xiang had both tried to set up Yuangui with Fu Xiangdi, thinking that they were a perfect match. They were both capable and attractive, close in age, lived nearby, and came from well-known families. They thought these two were a perfect match for each other.

To facilitate this, they had given them opportunities to spend time together privately. However, to everyone's surprise, after getting to know each other, they actually became sworn siblings.

At that time, Aunt Ah Xiang's and Grandma Fang feelings about it were... quite complicated.

Yuangui was fine, as he had recently stabilized his position in Shu Yu's caravan and was focused on building his career. He was a man, and Aunt Grandma Fang wasn't in a hurry for him to get married.

However, it was different for Aunt Ah Xiang because Fu Xiangdi was around the same age as Shu Yu. Watching Shu Yu get married while Fu Xiangdi showed no signs of marrying anyone was a source of concern for her.

They had originally thought that this situation would continue for a long time. However, in the second year after Shu Yu got married, Fu Xiangdi told Aunt Ah Xiang that she had found someone to marry. Surprisingly, that person was Guo Bing, who had occasionally helped with transporting goods and driving for the Yiren Pavilion.

Guo Bing, whom Shu Yu had heard Aunt Ah Xiang mention before, was a few years older than Fu Xiangdi.

At the time, Aunt Ah Xiang's assessment was that Guo Bing was a good person, but there were many family issues. Even Guo Bing couldn't stand living with them and had to rent a place of his own. If Fu Xiangdi married into their family, there might be conflicts, and it could even escalate to violence.

So, initially, Aunt Ah Xiang hadn't considered Guo Bing as a potential partner.

Guo Bing used to do manual labor, but after working at the Yiren Pavilion, he came into contact with more people and encountered more situations. To ensure that he wouldn't be easily replaced, he even found time to learn how to read and write.

Especially when Shu You and Lan Hua went to the capital and other places to study, he would accompany them.

With a broader perspective and exposure to various matters, he started thinking more clearly about things.

Three years ago, Guo Bing's mother passed away. Due to issues related to the funeral expenses, a major dispute erupted within the Guo family, and Guo Bing's head was injured, leaving him unconscious.

Instead of sending Guo Bing to a clinic or hospital, his family was more interested in the potential inheritance of his job at the Yiren Pavilion. They even contemplated if Guo Bing couldn't perform his duties, could they take over in his place or receive some sympathy money?

Fortunately, someone nearby heard the commotion and knew that Guo Bing had a hard life, so they quickly ran to the Yiren Pavilion to report the situation.

Shu You, who was already capable of managing things independently, immediately took the family's servants to Guo Bing's home.

Guo Bing was taken to a clinic and regained consciousness, after which he became fully aware of the situation. He severed all ties with his biological family. Since then, he had never returned to his family.

Now, three years after his mother's death, Guo Bing had completed his mourning period, and last month, he and Fu Xiangdi officially got married.

Although in the eyes of outsiders, Fu Xiangdi got married at a relatively older age, Aunt Ah Xiang was quite satisfied with the current situation.

When Fu Xiangdi and Guo Bing got engaged, while Grandma Fang was happy for her, she was also eager and gave plenty of hints to Yuangui.
