Chapter 1928: Witnessing Jiang Fengshou's Abilities

Shu Yu looked at Zhou Tiedong with a hint of amusement. She found it quite funny that he was so eager to help out, even though the shop hadn't officially opened yet.

Glancing at Wang Yue and then Zhou Tiedong, she asked, "Have you recovered from your injuries?"

Zhou Tiedong scratched his head and replied to Shu Yu, "I'm all better now, County Princess. I can handle tasks and heavy lifting without any issues."

"Good. Since you're here, tell me about the plans going forward."

Zhou Tiedong scratched his head again and said, "I brought Ah Yue along, and it's not convenient for us to stay in the back courtyard of the shop. So, we thought of renting a nearby house for now. But finding a place to stay is something Ah Yue will handle. I can help with repairing the shop and assisting with tasks."

Shu Yu nodded, "You and your wife can discuss that. Until you find a house, you can stay in the back courtyard of the shop."

"Thank you, Master."

"Alright, let's go ahead and sign the contract. Take a look at the terms, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask." Shu Yu handed over the contract that had been prepared in advance to Zhou Tiedong.

After reading it, Zhou Tiedong not only didn't have any objections but also felt that the terms were quite favorable.

He signed the contract, and Shu Yu instructed, "Regarding the repairs and construction of the shop, there are some laborers and two apprentices already there. You don't need to go there. In the afternoon, go and find Jiang Fengshou. He's going to be the shopkeeper of Lu Ji's store from now on. He's busy preparing for the grand opening, so work with him during this time. It will help you familiarize yourself with the shop's operations and address any issues before the official opening."

"Understood."

"Hmm..." Shu Yu thought for a moment and added, "Jiang Fengshou might have a different style compared to the previous shopkeepers you've worked with. Don't worry too much about it; just observe and adapt."

She realized that the personalities of Zhou Tiedong and Jiang Fengshou were quite different. However, she didn't anticipate that Jiang Fengshou's selection was a product of her meticulous consideration, and Zhou Tiedong trusted her judgment completely.

Thus, even if he spent days following Jiang Fengshou around seemingly without much to do, he didn't consider it as idleness. He observed that Jiang Fengshou's actions were purposeful and targeted.

After Shu Yu introduced them, she left them to their own devices. A few days later, Jiang Fengshou presented his second business plan.

Compared to the first draft, the second plan was much clearer and detailed. It included not only the activities but also the reasons behind the chosen approaches, the preferences of different customer segments within the city, and even a contingency plan.

Satisfied after making a few adjustments, Shu Yu set Jiang Fengshou and his two assistants to work.

As preparations were underway, Shu Yu finally saw Jiang Fengshou's true abilities. His connections in the capital were no joke. He mingled with laborers and government officials alike, effortlessly fitting in. He even managed to socialize with the wealthy and share their conversations, seemingly comfortable across various social strata.

Additionally, he had a reputation as a friend to women. He could engage in conversations about gossip and cosmetics, and he would join in on discussions among women.

Jiang Fengshou claimed that these connections might appear superficial, but with a little incentive, they could prove incredibly helpful.

Shu Yu finally understood why he managed to extricate himself from the Liu family's incident before it escalated. Even small individuals had great wisdom sometimes.

She decided she should keep her uncle around and learn from him.
