Chapter 1933: Call Him Young Master Lu

Shu Yu nodded, "I see. However, Tang Wenqian is serving as the county magistrate in Chenggu County. Though Chenggu County isn't far from here, it's getting late now, and if you rush over, you might find the city gates closed. Here's what we'll do: you can stay in the Prefecture tonight, and tomorrow I'll arrange for someone to take you to the county."

"Uh, thank you." Tang Wenqian's father quickly nodded, accepting the arrangement.

Shu Yu instructed Ying Xi to arrange rooms at the inn. These rooms were not just for Tang Wenqian's parents but also for the companions and escorts accompanying them. Da Niu could stay in the yard she had rented, but others needed proper accommodations.

While everyone was busy unloading cargo, Ying Xi led Tang Wenqian's parents to a nearby inn.

Once they left, the scene became bustling again.

Shu Yu had Jiang Fengshou organize the items to be stored, and she went to the backyard with Meng Yunzheng to prepare tea for everyone.

With a lot of items to account for and reconcile, it was an hour later when they finally finished. The sky had already darkened.

Shu Yu had everyone sit down and rest for a moment. Then she said, "You've all worked hard on this journey. The inn has prepared food and drinks, so I'll have someone take you there. Rest well tonight."

"Thank you, County Princess Lu."

Shu Yu asked Da Zhuang, who had come along with them, to take care of things at the inn.

Meng Yunzheng also left, as he was called away by one of Qi Lie's subordinates midway.

Shu Yu felt a sense that Qi Lie was trying to poach her people.

She shook her head, closed the store's door to block the outside view and any nosy inquiries from the other shopkeepers.

In the store's backyard, only Shu Yu, Da Niu, Jiang Fengshou, and two assistants remained.

Shu Yu took them to the storage room and showed them samples. "This is sunflower oil, sunflower seeds, and instant noodles. And here's a new variety of ham sausage from the workshop. Take some back with you today and try them out. It's important for family members to know what their products are like and have a better understanding."

This way, if customers asked, they wouldn't be left clueless.

Jiang Fengshou took two sunflower seeds and peeled them, saying, "Mmm, they're fragrant."

He deftly rolled up the items, gleefully adding, "I'm going back to cook noodles with my wife, using this sunflower oil and adding the ham sausage."

Seeing this, Zhou Tiedong hesitated for a moment and then also took his portion.

Li Rongman wasn't married yet, and he lived in the backyard of this store, so he wasn't in a rush.

Once everything was settled, the group left through the back door.

Shu Yu also returned to the rented house with Da Niu. When they opened the courtyard gate, someone came forward, "Miss, you're back?"

Shu Yu introduced, "This is Aunt He. She's helping out by cooking and doing laundry for us temporarily."

Shu Yu and Ying Xi were both busy, and sometimes the three young men would go far away and not return. Like today, they had gone to the neighboring county, and it seemed they might not be back for a couple of days.

So, Shu Yu asked Aunt He if it was alright. Since they wouldn't stay here for long, and her employment was only temporary, Shu Yu knew Aunt He personally and trusted her character. Aunt He agreed, and Shu Yu let her help temporarily.

Aunt He smiled and said, "This must be Young Master Lu. Dinner is ready. After a long day, please eat first."

Da Niu felt a bit embarrassed. While away from home, everyone was calling him Young Master Lu, which made him feel uneasy.
